　　在传统技法上，写意牡丹的主要画法是“点染法”，也就是“点簇法”，即用笔蘸墨或色直接点染而成。在前人点簇法的基础上通过滚动旋转用笔，弥补了点簇法在颜色过渡上不易自然的局限性。通过笔的滚动旋转可以将花瓣的层次落笔成型，易于色彩的把握。这种笔法大气而不乏细腻。

The traditional technique of peony painting is mainly a “point-dyeing technique”, also called a “point-clustering technique” (adding details to a painting by dipping the brush in the ink or colors). The painter rolls the brus so as to make up for the limitations of unnatural color gradation. The rolling and rotation of the brush can produce petal layers as well as color gradation, which is a technique producing both magnificence and delicacy.
