本书为环境艺术设计专业本科英语教材。重在结合专业教学与英语教学的特点对环境艺术设计领域所涉及的要点进行编排。本教材区别于以往重知识、轻实践的内容模式，旨在拓展学生在专业领域的英文运用能力，包括专业词汇的使用、文献阅读的理解，以及翻译和专业设计说明的撰写。此外，把课堂授课讲解与课后的自学练习有机结合起来，针对英语口语表达能力与交流进行训练。

本书特色

教材内容主要分为专业文献和课后专栏两个部分。其中专业文献部分为走进环境艺术设计、室内设计、景观设计、建筑设计以及其他相关领域五个专题，共17个单元。所列专业文献均摘自国内外优秀案例，图文并茂，增加了教材的实践性、可读性和趣味性。课后对文章中的涉及的专业词汇了做出了注解，将稳中重点句子以英译汉的形式让学生进行巩固理解，并针对文章内容提出思考题，以便让学生用英文以分组讨论的方式进行交流沟通，既在专业层面提高学生的英文应用能力，又通过练习培养学生的英文思维能力。
